Desk-based job? Think of your posture...
Posted: 16 Apr 2019
Many of us work 7 or 8 hours each day at office desks without giving much thought to our posture, and then wonder why we have aches and pains at the end of the day.
Posture is important to physical health and there are relatively simple ways of achieving a better posture and reducing the side-effects of long days at your desk.
One of these is having your monitor at the right height and viewing angle. Looking too far down or up as you work puts unecessary strain on your neck and back. Accepted good practice is to have your monitor positioned so that your eyes are level with the top of it.
Does your set-up fit this advice?
The easy way to achieve this is to use our Exilon Monitor Arm. It is very easy to assemble without tools and allows a full range of easy adjustability for height, angle and distance, enabling you to get your monitor in just the right position. Its design also leaves you with more free desk space, and it is available in black, white or silver to suit your office. Find out more here!
Further advice on posture at your desk is available from Derbyshire Community Health Service (NHS) here.
