Tips for frustrated laminators...

Posted: 05 Apr 2019

Laminating.

Every day in schools and offices around the country, people are laminating something.  A notice that has to be durable, flash cards for in-class quizing, queuing cards... So many things to laminate!

We've all had those times when things have gone wrong and we're not sure why.  Bubbles, jams, curling... and they can all be avoided if you know how.

When laminating anything that only partially fills the pouch (a star shape or Polycopy Pete cut-out, for example), use a pouch carrier such as this A4 one.  It will prevent the issues described above, and save you the pain and cost of laminator problems that are defined as 'user error' and not covered by manufacturers. If you laminate on a large scale we also have A3 ones here.

Also, don't forget to make sure you use the correct heat and speed setting (if applicable) for the type of carrier you are using!

Still looking for a simpler solution? You could print direct on to Endurocopy Tuff with your laser printer, and then you'd have superb durability without having to laminate at all!
