Kingswood Secondary Academy – Sixth Form Study Hub, Corby
Polycopy worked with Kingswood Secondary Academy in Corby to create a new sixth form study hub designed around both independent and collaborative learning.
The existing space needed to support different ways of studying while also becoming a strong focal point within the sixth form environment.
A combination of soft seating, varied table heights and different furniture shapes was used to create clearly defined areas for individual study, group work and informal collaboration. The mix of furniture helps make the space feel flexible and visually engaging rather than overly formal.
Planting was also incorporated into the design, adding a biophilic element and helping create a calmer, more welcoming environment for students.
The project formed part of Polycopy’s wider education furniture and learning space fit-out work, with the installation completed during the summer holidays and ready for students returning in September.
